New BMW M2 CS unveiled – On the road with 530 hp of driving pleasure from late summer 2025
The limited special model is back. The new M2 CS is scheduled to be launched in late summer 2025 and bring the extra portion of driving pleasure to the roads.

As expected, the return of the M2 CS offers a feast for friends of fast cars. With an additional 50 hp and numerous optimisations in weight and aerodynamics, the new BMW M2 CS is pure driving pleasure.
New BMW M2 CS – Exterior
The design of the new BMW M2 CS is more aggressive than that of the normal M2 and you can tell at first glance that it is not a "normal" M2. The front is completely new with a revised kidney grille, front splitter and bumpers including new air intakes.
Carbon components such as the exterior mirror caps, the roof or the rear diffuser on the BMW M2 CS are also at the start. In the profile, you can also see the red brake calipers, which can optionally sit on ceramic brakes. The standard double-spoke wheels with a gold-bronze paint finish measure 19 inches and 20 inches respectively on the rear wheels.
At the rear, the ducktail spoiler is the main attraction and it closes off the completely new tailgate. This is made of carbon fibers and thus reduces the weight of the M2 CS even further.
There are four colors to choose from for the paint finishes: Sapphire Black metallic, Velvet Blue metallic, Brooklyn Gray metallic and Portimao Blue metallic.
New BMW M2 CS – powertrain and chassis
The 50 hp additional power that the BMW M2 CS draws from the M2 engine ensures that the new M2 CS is even more powerful than the BMW M4, despite a lower price. The reinforced 3.0-litre biturbo in-line six-cylinder now produces 530 hp with 650 Nm of torque and is controlled via a standard eight-speed automatic. There is no manual transmission option for the rear-wheel drive of the new BMW M2 CS.
The additional power of the engine ensures that the M2 cracks the four-second mark and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The M2 CS accelerates to 200 km/h in 11.7 seconds and the top speed is 302 km/h.
In terms of chassis, BMW has lowered the M2 CS by 8 millimetres and readjusted the suspension and damping tuning. The design changes and the numerous carbon parts ensure 30 kg less weight and more downforce. The harder tuning ensures better handling even at speeds at the limit.
New BMW M2 CS – Interior
The interior is also designed in the spirit of racing, so you can discover a lot of carbon fiber. Center console, bucket seats and more are made of the lightweight material. But more noble Alcantara also provides a premium flair in the M2 CS, for example on the steering wheel.
To ensure that there is no doubt about the sports car character, the interior also features the red centre marking on the steering wheel and the "CS" lettering. There are even illuminated CS logos in the door panels, which can be adjusted in the same way as the ambient lighting.
The BMW Operating System 8.5 is used for the infotainment system, and drivers always have an overview with the digital cockpit and the head-up display with augmented reality. The large screen is made up of the 12.3-inch digital instrument and the 14.9-inch central screen. A voice assistant is also on board.
New BMW M2 CS – sales launch and price
The BMW M2 CS will be built at the Mexican plant near San Luis Potosi and will be released as a limited special model. In terms of price, the sports car is to start at 115,000 euros, with the market launch taking place in late summer 2025.
